Desert Pug

We have arrived, moved in, and opened the office. Whew. 3 weeks of packing and about 3 weeks of unpacking. Yup. That brings us to today.

We are loving the desert. The heat hasn't really hit here yet and it seems I brought the cool weather with me (a comfortable 80 degrees for the past 2 weeks). Finley has started full-time day care and seems to be handling the warm weather so far just fine. I'm assuming once we hit 120 degrees it will be a different story, but people adjust and so can we. Did I say I love it here? Everything is so vast and spacious and so very different from a crowded and cramped Santa Barbara. I finally feel like I can stretch out. Not to mention the apartment is about 3 times the size of where we were living in SB. Anyhoo, things are going well and I'm happy with where life is headed. Last but not least, I feel like Sparky came with us. Of course his ashes did, but I mean the spiritual part of him. I was a little worried at first to maybe have a feeling of leaving him behind, but nope, he's right here with us and it feels good. This change is just what we needed :)

  1. Hey ! Nice to hear an update on your new home and job...wow, congrats on everything falling into place. So nice for you and your little old man....he is so adorable. I loved seeing your house strewn with all Finley's toys. Did someone say pampered pet?

Yes, I agree the expanse of the desert landscape is something to behold and as a bonus to have all those good restaurants and shops and fun people of Palm Springs to play with...you got it girl!

    Keep blogging...you were missed. xo

  2. Sorry to be getting to everyone so late. I've been focused on Scarlett and such. These pictures are great and everything sounds wonderful! I talk about Finny to the other pug owners here in my our park as if I knew him in person!! I love the pugs around here & ask them questions about how/when they calm down. (never by the way, haha) And I know what you mean about Sparky. Glad you feel the way you do. It was hard for me to move as well. But yes, she is here.
